Maryline Vivion, an anthropologist and adjunct professor in the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine at Laval University ans a member of the Canadian Immunizxation Research Network (CIRN). She specializes in the analysis of media and social media through online ethnography methods. Her research interests include vaccine hesitancy phenomenon by studying the interfaces between expert and lay knowledge, disinformation, misinformation, information overload, and the use of information and communication technologies. As a qualitative research specialist, she teaches the course “Qualitative Research Methods in Public Health” for students enrolled in the master’s program at Laval University. Additionally, she possesses excellent proficiency in the data analysis software Nvivo, which she also teaches.
