Pharmacovigilance/Clinical Pharmacology – Centre Régional de Pharmacovigilance, Laboratoire HP2-U1300, Université & CHU Grenoble Alpes
I’m a pharmacologist (MD, PhD), Head of the Pharmacovigilance Center at Grenoble University Hospital, France. I am also President of the French College of Pharmacologists in charge of coordinating drug-related training in the Faculty of Medicine https://pharmacomedicale.org/le-cnpm , and a member of the Board of Directors of the Société Française de Pharmacologie https://sfpt-fr.org/ . My main area of interest is the study of the benefit-risk balance of drug therapies. I also co-pilot training programs in this field for patients https://www.u-pec.fr/fr/formation/du-democratie-sanitaire-medicament-patient-partenaire . In terms of research, our main data sources are clinical trials, spontaneous adverse event reporting databases and healthcare databases. In particular, we have characterized the clinical presentation of adverse events reported by individuals after vaccination with COVID-19, explored socio-demographic factors associated with their perceived severity and the feeling of being at risk of adverse events.
