I’m a postdoctoral researcher on the PANDORIX project, which aims to help policy-makers anticipate the management of future pandemics in the Brussels-Capital Region. I’m here for the last 10 months of this 3-year multidisciplinary programme, and my main responsibilities include analysing a vast corpus of data, producing variable data sheets and drafting forward-looking scenarios. The issue of vaccines is central, but not exclusive: the international experience of COVID-19 is being used to put the Brussels results on obstacles to compliance with prescribed health behaviours during the health crisis into an international perspective. These obstacles are analysed in the light of key variables identified collectively: institutional, economic, educational, socio-demographic and biographical.
