Zuzana Kotherová
Public policy, health policy – University of Charles Prague (Czech Republic)
French-speaking researcher in the field of health policy at the Faculty of Social Sciences and the First Faculty of Medicine at Charles University. My research focuses on health policies, the comparison of health systems and the role of the different actors active in the health sectors, especially the role of patients and general practitioners. More concretely, my scientific work focuses on the evolution of healthcare systems, which need to adapt to the challenges posed by various transformations in society – such as the changing relationship between doctor and patient and the orientation of systems towards preventive services. I am currently interested in the role of primary care and GPs in patients’ reluctance to take part in immunisation programmes (especially childhood vaccination and, more recently, vaccination against Covid-19) and the role of nurses in prevention.
